IrBEA have Initiated a modelling tool to predict emissions from boilers in the <1MW range. In this model a boiler installer puts in the emissions of particulates and NOx in mg/second, and the distance to the nearest sensitive site. The model states what flue height is required to ensure air quality requirements are not breeched at the sensitive site. This was completed as the EPA were requiring a full EPA licence for any installation otherwise. This project is still underway.
